Is it possible to file for financial aid to begin in the spring semester?

I have never had financial aid before, but I am now hoping to return to college (in Florida) for spring 2008 and will only be able to do so with the help of financial aid. Is it possible for me to qualify for financial aid in time for the spring semester? If so, when would the deadline be to have all my forms submitted?

never to late, unless you die then it is waaaay to late

  1. Yes, it’s possible, but it really depends on how fast you can finish the fafsa and how fast your school will process the application. Some schools can have everything ready in a few weeks… others take MONTHS. In your case, the deadline should be as early as humanly possible….TODAY!

  2. You can still apply for financial aid for spring by submitting the 2008-2009 FAFSA (fafsa.ed.gov). Deadlines for any institutional forms may vary by the institution, but the sooner you get the ball rolling the better. At this point, for the upcoming semester, frankly you’re already behind. I would recommend contacting your institution’s financial aid office for deadlines, necessary paperwork, questions, etc. You’re not too late, but you want to get started as quickly as possible.
